The Global Green Scholars Program (GGSP) is the flagship international internship program at ReNew. The program was launched in 2017 with an aim to attract bright and passionate talent from top universities across the globe, who are interested in renewable energy, sustainability, the energy transition and related topics which concern clean energy space and is looking to build a career in this sector. Aimed at promoting diversity and exchange of ideas, this program is designed for students with a stellar academic and co-curricular record, with an inclination towards action and have a keen interest to familiarize themselves with how a leading renewable energy company works. We envision GGSP as a channel to attract best talent to this important sector by giving them exposure and learning so they can form an idea what this sector is all about.

Selected undergraduate and graduate scholars undergo an 8-week internship at our Corporate Office. Challenging projects are assigned from one of the following areas:
Corporate Finance: Be part of teams that will be raising new rounds of capital
Strategy: Shadow the CEO and get a high level view on our business operations
Solar and Wind business verticals: Roll up your sleeves and work on project execution at the ground level, helping us do what we do best — build projects
Social Responsibility: We try to uplift the communities in which we operate — get a chance to see what it takes to enhance quality of life in communities
ReD.: Our digital transformation initiative where we attempt to capitalize on data science to optimize our performance and maximize our efficiency
The scholars work closely with experienced leaders at ReNew and are assigned a mentor to guide them in the execution of their project.
Business exposure coupled with solar and wind site visits to gain a better understanding of on ground execution of projects
Open door culture with high engagement with CMD, CXOs and other senior leaders
Constant guidance from the project mentor and HR Buddy
Apart from business insights, the scholars get an opportunity to explore the rich and diverse cultural heritage of India
NGO visit to get an insight into the CSR initiatives undertaken by ReNew
Build camaraderie and a life-long bond, beyond the internship, with the company and amongst themselves
To apply for this program and internship, we encourage students who are passionate about working in the clean energy space, are entrepreneurial and excited to work in a fast growing environment. Undergraduate and graduate students with an outstanding academic record, currently pursuing their studies in Engineering, Economics, Environmental Sciences, Finance, Data Science and Policy Management from an institution of repute are eligible to apply.
